Salih Launches Kenya's first Sukuk Fund

Updated: Aug 1

A Sukuk Fund is a type of investment fund that primarily invests in Sukuk, which are Islamic financial instruments resembling bonds. Sukuk are structured to comply with Islamic Sharia principles, which prohibit the payment or receipt of interest (riba). Instead of earning interest, investors in Sukuk funds receive a share of profits generated by the underlying assets or projects financed by the Sukuk. These assets could include infrastructure projects, real estate ventures, or other tangible assets. Sukuk funds provide investors with exposure to Sharia-compliant fixed-income investments, offering diversification and potential returns while adhering to Islamic finance principles.

We are proud to announce the launch of Kenya's first Sukuk Fund under our Salih Scheme, marking a significant milestone in the country's financial landscape. This innovative initiative not only introduces Sharia-compliant investment opportunities to Kenyan investors but also underscores our commitment to pioneering inclusive and ethical financial solutions. By offering the first Sukuk Fund in Kenya, SALIH Retirement Fund is poised to lead the market in providing access to Islamic finance instruments, catering to the needs of investors seeking Sharia-compliant investment options. Our expertise in Islamic finance, coupled with our dedication to promoting sustainable and responsible investing, positions us at the forefront of Kenya's financial industry, empowering investors to participate in a diverse range of ethical investment opportunities through our pioneering Sukuk Fund.
